If you currently use another synchronisation method or application to manage your data, it is recommended that you do not sync information from Ovi to your device. Doing so may result in loss of data. You can, however, sync information from your device to Ovi.

Using network services involves transmission of data. Check with your service provider for details about fees in your home network and when roaming in other networks.

1. Open the Sync application on your mobile device. For details, see the user guide or in-device help of your device.

2. Select Ovi.com as the synchronisation profile and Options > Synchronise . You must connect to the internet, when prompted, for the sync to succeed.

The next time you sign in to Ovi after syncing your device, the Ovi home page displays your upcoming calendar events and recently added contacts.

By default, Ovi Sync will automatically sync calendar entries, contacts, and notes between the added mobile device and Ovi. To modify your sync settings to meet your personal needs, open the Sync application on your device, and select Ovi.com as the synchronisation profile. You are then able to access your sync settings, and select the applications you want to sync and their synchronisation type ( Both ways , To server only , or To phone only ). The available options may vary. For more information, see the user guide of your mobile device.

After you have added a device to Ovi, the sync functionality is automatically activated. To deactivate Ovi Sync, do the following:

1. Sign in to Ovi.

2. In the Your device area on the Ovi home page, click Manage your device .

3. Click Switch off syncing beside the device, and then Switch off .

If you want to reactivate Ovi Sync, click Switch on syncing .
